Pixma MG2922 Cord/Power not connected but it is

Error Code: 5 156 29

I received this code after trying to scan in a document to my computer. The firewalls were disabled, the cord was plugged in, power was working, and MSN does not exist on my computer. I use Windows 10. There is nothing wrong with my cord because it works on another printer perfectly fine. Why am I receiving this error if there is nothing wrong?

Hi,

Has anything changed on your computer? If you were able to scan before, did you notice any updates or did you upgrade your operating system? 

If you open Windows paint and click the file option and scroll down, do you see a scan option?

My system has not had any updates nor are there any updates to be installed. Nothing was changed on the computer. The paint program does not show a Scan option.

I tried syncing the Wi-Fi connection on the printer but it’s not syncing with the cord. It says it’s not detecting my computer. I do not have WPS on my router. I would not be able to scan wirelessly so I have to use a cord.
