Pixma MG2522 1300 & 1203 error messages

This printer is several years old, and honestly , it has been more of a burden than anything! Just been trying to print **bleep** photos and I keep getting the 1300 paper error message. The yellow blinking light flashing 3x. I've checked several times and looked at the roller mechanism thoroughly, very clean! I also install brand new ink cartridges just to make sure. I tried a reboot, as suggested by one of the techs. Unplug the unit. Push power button 5x. Wait 1 minute before plugging back on!

Obviously that did not work either!

Hi,

The 1300 error appears when the paper is jammed in the paper output slot or in the rear tray. If the paper starts to feed and stop and the error goes off, there could be a sensor issue causing a false paper jam error. Since the reset does not work, the printer would need to be replaced.

Since the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
