I have a Pixma IP4950 B200 error.
I printed 10 6x4 pictures then tried to print a 'printable' CD when I got the error along with 6 flashing amber lights, on some occasions it flashed 10 ambers alternatively with the green light..
I'm confused:
The 6 flashes indicate inner door opened and the 10 amber and greens indicated the front tray out of position, whilst on the internet some reports said it was the print head.
Now then, I stripped the printer down, first looking for debris or jammed objects and non was found, I do keep the printer covered when not in use. So I proceeded and checked the inner door micro switch, read zero Ohms when activated, so something telling me 'porkies'.
This error can be instigated by just doing a roller or back plate clean and can be reset to a steady green by powering off, opening the top cover and powering back on then just as the heads move across close the cover and all is well.
As anyone any ideas on this issue? Thanks.
Dave
