Hi! I recently got a G4270 Mega Tank to replace my G3200 and I can’t set the printer up because the print head carriage won’t move.
Due to this I just keep getting support code 1470 because I cannot access the print heads to install them.
included a photo to show how far the print heads will move

If the print head carriage on a brand new Canon PIXMA G427 won't move, first ensure the printer is powered on and the ON/Power lamp is lit steadily, not flashing or off, and that the top cover is fully closed before reopening it. If the issue persists, This is the guide to remedy code 1470

Yep already tried all that. It wants me to install the print heads, which I can’t do because the carriage for them is locked/stuck underneath the plastic ledge of the printer itself.
The furthest I can get into the set up is selecting the language then it immediately gives me error 1470 without even allowing me to install the print heads.
I’m planning on returning it to Best Buy and going with a different brand of printer.
