Pixma G3200 - where to buy a replacement print head

I have a Pixma G3200 with a print head that has totally dried up. 

I am looking to buy a replacement print head (black) and can not seem to find a place to purchase one. 

Hoping for an answer but suspect this is a form of planned obsolesce.

The printhead for the PIXMA G3200 should be available directly through Canon's Parts Department. Our Parts Department may be reached by calling 1-800-828-4040, seven days a week (excluding holidays), 8:00 a.m. to Midnight ET. They can provide you with availability and cost.

Are you sure about the hours of operation? I called at 7:10PM Mountain Time and got a recording saying they were closed.
