Pixma G1220 Printer is saying no ink but it’s full

I finally hooked up my printer and filled it with ink but every time I try to test print it says ink tanks are empty but I’ve never used it

Hi Tyah,

Please follow the steps on this page from the manual to verify that all of the tape has been removed from the printheads:
