Although the 280 cartridge was still 1/3 full, I changed it anyway. But still not printing black. Test print does not print the grid lines. I've cleaned print head and also did a deep cleaning, several times.

When printing does not appear as expected, please follow all of the steps provided on this page from the TS9521C's manual:
TS9521C > Maintenance > If Printing Is Faint or Uneven > Maintenance Procedure

Once logged in, click on your PIXMA TS9521C and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.
