I have a Mac mini Apple M2Pro, 16 gb, Sonoma 14.6.1 computer.
When I could not get my old printer (Pixma TS9521C) to install (WiFi) after getting a new route, I tried to install a newer one that is supposed to work better with a Mac computer (Pixma TS6320). When I could not get the new one to connect to WiFi, I purchased a USB Printer Cable Cord compatible with this printer. I was able to print! When I tried to print tonight, I once again got the "Printer Offline" message. It is plugged into the computer. I unplugged it and replugged it.
It's not like I have never installed a printer. I installed the TC9521C twice on a Windows computer and once when I purchased a Mac--with no problems. What does it matter if the printer is offline if is connected to the computer with a USB printer cable cord? I have no idea what to do now. I would appreciate any help.

I plugged the printer directly into the computer instead of the hub and I can print!!
Thank you so much for that information.

Greetings,
Welcome. Which printer would you like help with? The 6320 or 9621C?
Both printers have the same requirements from a wireless standpoint. 2.4Ghz broadcast that supports WPA2/AES encryption. The router must support this band and the encryption standard.
If you plan to connect via USB, try the following.
From the Apple menu, open system preferences > printers and scanners. Select the printer and use the minus key (-) to remove it. Close this dialog.
Now open Finder and visit the Applications folder. Uniinstall any Canon drivers or applications associated with the printer.
Important, restart your Mac.
Download a fresh copy of the printer drivers/installer from the product's support portal. Run the installer. Do not connect the printer until prompted to do so. Once the installation completes you can test printing.
To find drivers for the printers you own visit the site below and enter the model number(s)

Thank you. I will try that. The printer I want to install is the 6320. The 9621C had some functions that I could not use when I went from Windows to Mac.
I don't see how it worked right away when I connected with the USB printer cord but when I tried to print a few days later, I could not.

I entered this earlier this afternoon but I am not seeing it so I am reposting:
I went to :Finder>Applications >Canon Utilities> 1. Easy-PhotoPrint Editor 2. IJ Scan Utility 3. Inkjet Exten…ey Program These are the items I need to uninstall, right?
These are in the DOWNLOADS
And these are the correct downloads, right? Exactly what is the installer? I haven't installed a printer in this way before. I have only done it from the Printer's web site or from the printer itself.
Thanks for the information

Greetings,
Downloads for the TS6320 can be found here.
You just need the ts6300 1_1.dmg (printer driver)
And the msul_mac_4.1.2...(IJ scan utility)
Together these two will give you printing and scanning capability. The other applications are optional. Start with the first two. Read about the others and decide if you want or need them.
If you have a question about what something does, just ask and someone will be happy to assist
Depending on the Mac, you have the USB cable that you're using to connect your printer has to support the type of connector on your computer. It's best that you not use hubs or adapters. 🙂

Thank you for your help. I plugged the USB cable into a Caldigit hub. I have a MacMini and there are very few places to plug in anything. Could this be the problem?
As to the cable, I ordered one specifically for the TS6320 printer.

Hubs and adapters (powered or passive) are not recommended. Some devices work fine, printers can be hit or miss.
