PIXMA TS9521C - Always Says Out of Ink

PGB1

Hello All,

The Canon TS 9521C printer gave Low Ink warnings and eventually refused to print until I changed tanks. Every tank was nearly full! (Less than 100 pages of black text are all that has ever been printed on this machine. Never even used color.)

I changed all tanks with brand new, genuine Canon tanks. The printer still thinks that is has low ink (yellow exclamation point symbol) and now thinks that 2 of the colors are completely empty (red X).

I tried a second set of ink cartridges. Same results were found.

Next I tried cleaning the places where the tank contact sits. No luck

Pressing & holding STOP in the Triangle did not help

Holding the Power button while unplugging did not help

A whole bunch of other internet site "press this, press that" did not work.

I do not have a Windows computer, so I could not try the items mentioned by using Windows. (Using MacOS)

I even contacted technical support twice: The first agent told me the printer was junk and should be discarded. The second told me to hold the stop in a triangle for 7 seconds, When told it did not work, the reply was to junk the printer.

For a printer that has printed less than 100 pages, mostly black, and cost well over 200.00USD, plus three sets of tanks due to low ink warning, I'm not in a rush to junk this printer.

Do any of you know any solution that works to tell the printer that the tanks are new and full so that we may use this printer?

Thank You For Helping. I appreciate it!

Paul
