PIXMA TS6420 only printing from rear tray

I've had this printer for about a year, and it will no longer print from the cassette. I was able to print a test page from the cassette tray, but when I try to print any other letter-size document, it will only print from the rear tray.

Hi viclinder001,

Please try setting the rear tray to a paper size other than letter so that your TS6420 will default to the cassette when printing on letter size paper.

To do this, please follow these steps:

1.  Turn your PIXMA TS6420 on.

2.  Press the OK button on your printer one time.

3.  Repeatedly press the down arrow to select Feed settings and press OK.

4.  Rear tray paper settings will be selected.  Press OK.

5.  Use the down arrow to select Change and press OK.

6.  Use the up or down arrows to select Legal and press OK.

7.  Plain paper will be selected.  Press OK.

8.  Press OK again.

9.  Repeatedly press the Back button (above the OK button) to return to the main screen of your PIXMA TS6420.

Once complete, please attempt to print.

I followed your instructions, and it still will not print from the cassette tray. The print queue says, "PIXMA TS6420 only printing from rear tray," and the screen on the printer says, "The following paper is not loaded in the rear tray. Letter." I actually do have letter paper in the rear tray.

Hi viclinder001,

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?
If you are using a Mac, what version of the macOS is installed?

Are you using your TS6420 wirelessly?
or with a USB cable?

I’m running Windows 11 and using the printer wirelessly.
