PIXMA TS6420 Support Code 7700

Canon TS6420 - barely a year old and stopped printing. Service Code 7700 "shut down and contact service center".

any clues??

Have a Canon TS6420 desktop printer that is barely a year old.  It was printing last week and now it will not print; message on screen says 'shut down and contact service center'.  I have not printed anything in a week or more.  Have unplugged, rebooted, etc. and still get the same message. Help?

This error is associated with possibly a paper jam or a ink cartridge problem. Check the printer for any paper in the feed path also reseat the ink cartridges then power the printer off for a minute and back on.

Thank you; have tried both of those but will try again! Frustrating since it’s barely a year old & rarely use it. Have changed toner cartridges once. Thanks again!
