My printer functions, but the scanner is greyed out - not enabled in image garden..

The printer/scanner was originally link to my ASUS all in one operating on Windows 10. It has since got stuck on the reboot and I had to send back to ASUS. I now tried to link it to my lap to DELL, Windows 10, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. Obviously, I cannot access the ASUS, so details I do have as as follows: ASUS M3700 (AMD Ryzen 500 series) that is it..
