PIXMA TS5150 Which paper tray to use for everyday printing

heathercat

Hi all,

First time here, I have just bought and installed a Canon Pixma TS5150. Not my first printer, more like about my sixth printer, and my third Canon printer/copier/scanner. I am puzzled as to why its got two paper trays? Never had this before. Which is best for everyday printing? Bottom cassette I find inconvenient cos you cannot see how much paper is left in it, or am I missing something where it tells you that info? I had the printer 3 weeks and didn't even realise it had a rear tray, how daft am I! Only when I tried to print a photo I ran into all sorts of trouble and finally found the rear tray and managed it eventually.
