have a Pixma TS-3522 printer/scanner.  I have been having a problem with it not printing.  Everything is connected and the printer runs but the ink won't come out.  I have run the printhead cleaner several times and it has not made a difference.  what else can I do?

Greetings,

In preparation of us providing assistance, can you please tell us the version and build of the operating you're using the printer with?  Also, how it's connected and to what? Wireless, wireless direct or USB?

Next, please print a nozzle check pattern for us.

Here are instructions for that.  Canon Knowledgebase

Please post an image of those results.

Is this a new problem? Printer has printed before? How new is the printer it? What cartridges are you using? Who makes them. First thing if new cartridges, make sure ALL protective tape removed from the print heads on the cartridges, this error happens a lot.

Common Causes for PIXMA TS3522 Not Printing

If your PIXMA TS3522 printer seems to be printing but no ink is coming out, the issue is often related to one of the following:

Clogged Print Head Nozzles

  • Symptoms: Missing lines or faint prints.
  • Solution: Run the printer's cleaning cycle to unclog the nozzles. If the problem persists, consider performing a deep cleaning.

Low or Empty Ink Cartridges

  • Symptoms: Ink levels may be low or cartridges may be empty.
  • Solution: Check the ink levels through the printer's display or software. Replace any empty or low cartridges.

Steps to Troubleshoot

Follow these steps to resolve the printing issue:

  1. Check Ink Levels
    • Open the printer software or control panel.
    • Verify the ink levels and replace any empty cartridges.
  2. Clean the Print Head

    • Access the maintenance settings on your printer.
    • Run the cleaning cycle and print a test page to check for improvement.
  3. Verify Print Settings

    • Ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected.
    • Check that the print mode is set to color and not grayscale.
  4. Restart the Printer

    • Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on to reset any temporary issues.
  5. Update Printer Drivers

    • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Download the latest drivers from Canon's official website if necessary.

I am using Windows 10  and connected with USB port.

Print description.jpg

Tape is off.

Printer is about 3.5 years old and yes is a new problem.

I am using Canon cartridges from Clickinks.  I have unplugged printer and restarted computer at the same time as well as separately.

I have run the cleaning and deep cleaning each two times.

If there is no tape on the cartridges then the nozzle check tells me that your cartridges are bad, no question about that, the print heads are on the cartridges and the printer can't see them. All three colors are in one cartridge and only one is printing. Black is doing nothing. Bad ink, bad chip, doesn't matter they need to be replaced with genuine Canon Cartridges, that is the solution. I have had the same thing happen to me twice to my MG3620 , so I no longer use third party re-made Canon cartridges, or copies.
