Does anybody know how to darken copies on a TS3522 printer?

I don't see any features called out in the User Manual. I was searching on such words as "contrast", "light", "dark", "brightness". I know that on some equipment, there's a way to increase/decrease the contrast. But it looks like such a feature doesn't exist on the Pixma TS3522.
The only potential workaround is to scan the original document as an image to your computer, then use an image maniupulation application (e.g. Adobe Photoshop or similar) to increase the contrast in the image (e.g. Levels or Curves adjustment). Then, print out the higher contrast image. Not a practical workaround though if the quantity of documents what you want to copy is high.
