Hello all, I purchased this printer 2 months ago on Amazon. It had been working fine up until recently, where now it does not turn on. I've made sure all of the cords are plugged in, moving to different outlets, etc. It just does not turn on. I have also tried holding the power button down for more than 15 seconds in case the button or something was broken. Is there any saving this printer without buying even more junk that will break within 2 months of purchase?

The printer has a 1 yr warranty from Canon. I'm sure they can help with troubleshooting and if warranted a replacement.
Register your device here, and provide proof of purchase. You'll be able to call Canon and work on getting your device replaced.

Hi boggington, we recently purchased the same printer through amazon as well and are having the same issues. I've tried new cords, moving the usb to a different port, resetting the printer and nothing. I was able to get it to turn on a couple of months ago by moving it to my pc and then back to the other individual's pc. It will not turn on again now and it happens at least 1x every 4-6 weeks.
Have you had any luck with your printer or any ideas on how to get it to turn on??

Greetings ,
The printer does not have to be connected to anything except power in order to turn on. If it's plugged into an electrical outlet and receiving power, pressing the power button should turn it on. I suggest you use the information in my post above to contact Canon support.

Yes it was plugged into an outlet that has power. Apparently the one I have is defective and I will be getting a replacement. Fingers crossed the new one works good!
