PIXMA TR7620a - Error code and light ink problem

Hi... I purchased a PIXMA TR7620a printer last year. As the year progressed, then black ink started to print lighter and lighter. I replaced the 2 black cartridges and the same thing is still happening. I tried cleaning the print heads and aligning them. Which brings me to my second problem with the printer now.

When I was aligning the print heads, it came up with support code 2900. The manual said to repeat the process, which I did, and the same support code came up.

Hi Pete,

When the 2900 error appears, please press OK and then perform the manual printhead alignment instead of the automatic one.

Hi

The only alignment option that I have on the printer is the auto alignment. There is no manual alignment anywhere.

If you go to the Maintenance of your TR7620a, Print Head Alignment - Manual should appear on the next line below Print Head Alignment - Auto.  Please swipe from bottom to top on your printers display to access the rest of the Maintenance menu.

Canon Canada Support is useless  My requests x4 have been ignored for weeks I need print head ID & price for replacement
