PIXMA TR4722 using too much ink.

I purchased the Canon TR4722 in December, 2023 and I have had to replace the ink cartridges twice.  I owned a Epson for years, used it just like the Canon and didn't have to replace the ink like this.  Is there a setting that I'm missing so I wouldn't use so much ink? If not I'm going to have to get rid of this and purchase another brand.
