PIXMA TR4722 goes through a lot of ink

I have a PIXMA TR4700 series, it goes through a lot of ink. I have replaced it like 5 times in less than 7 months. I don’t really print that much and most things are in black. Is this normal?

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TR4700 series.  The model number should be on the front of the unit at the upper right.
