I have a TR4720 printer and have two problems.
1. It is printing very light.
2. When I want to print a file, usually wood carving pattern at actual size. The size is smaller than a page. I cannot accomplish anything other than the selection provided.
Thank you for the help.

Hi! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that the prints from your PIXMA TR4720 are coming out light and small.
To start troubleshooting, I recommend you check what paper size is registered to the paper tray. You can check the registered size as you are loading paper. Please remove the paper that is currently loaded and close the trays in the front of the printer. The, you can follow the instructions in the following link:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-200.html
Please make sure to perform steps 4, 5, 6 and 7 quickly (load paper, adjust guide, and open the output tray and extensions). As soon as you have completed step 7, the screen should briefly show the message shown in step 8. Please press the OK button right away (before that message goes away). If the message goes away before you can press the OK button, you will need to close the output tray and go back to step 4 (load the paper).
Once you see the Size and Type setting on the printer’s display (step 9), please make sure that the Size matches the paper you have loaded. For example, if you are using regular 8.5x11 inch copy paper, the size should be Letter. The Type setting should be set to Plain Paper for regular Copy paper. Step 9 shows you how to change the size and type.
When printing from your computer, please make sure that the size and type settings in the Print window (on the computer screen) match the paper you registered at the printer (size and type).
To fix the faded printing issue, we recommend the Cleaning and Deep Cleaning options. For those instructions, please use the following links:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-135.html
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-136.html
We do recommend that you start with a Cleaning. Then, you can print a nozzle check pattern to see if it has improved. The following links will help you with printing that pattern and checking the result.
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-133.html
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-134.html
If the pattern has not improved, you can try a Deep Cleaning. Then, you can print another nozzle check to see if there is improvement. If there is little or no improvement, we recommend that you wait at least 6 hours but no more than 24 hours and do another Deep Cleaning.
It is best to wait at least 6 hours before the next deep cleaning because that gives the ink time to soak through the clogged nozzle and loosen it (like Drano). Please make sure you don’t wait longer than 24 hours before the next Deep Clean because you may be giving the clog time to dry up and harden again.
You can do up to three Deep Cleanings (6-24 hours apart). If the Nozzle Check is not perfect after the third Deep Clean, you can try taking the cartridges out and reinstalling them. If that does not help, we recommend installing a new cartridge (which ever one is not working properly).
You can find instructions for replacing the cartridge in the following section of the manual:
https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/TR4700%20series/EN/UG/ug-127.html
If the problem is not fixed, please create a Canon Account and register the printer to find out what support options you have. You can create a My Canon Account and register your printer on the following website:
https://myprofile.americas.canon.com/us/signin
After you register the printer, you will be able to see what support options you have by clicking on the Get Support option in the left column of your Canon Account page. If you have phone support available to you, you can call 1-800-652-2666.
If you have had the printer more than a year and you want to continue getting help through the Canon Community, please post a response to this message and include a photo of your most recent nozzle check pattern. It will also help if you include a photo of a sample print that shows the problems you are seeing.
In your response, please include answers to the following questions:
