Hi Everyone,
I'm Harmandeep Singh Kandhari, Health and Wellness Motivator. Now, I want to know about what troubleshooting steps are recommended for resolving frequent paper jams and faded prints on a Canon PIXMA TR4720? Could this be related to driver updates, ink cartridge alignment, or roller maintenance?
Thanks,
Harmandeep Singh Kandhari

Hi Derrick,
It appears your response is the only authority found in the community related to paper jams.
I've had a similar problem with an older PIXMA MX420, where the paper drags to one side as it enters the printer's feeder, followed by an error message to clear the jam. I've tried all the above, even shaking the printer and looking inside it (as far as possible from the outside), but there doesn't seem to be any obstruction. I'm wondering if it is a roller issue that can be fixed, or if I should save the trouble and get a new one?
Thanks.
Dominic

A new one, depends on whether your current printer can easily be repaired. I had a Brother printer, same issue, until it would not feed the paper at all. Could not fix the rollers and a new Canon printer was so cheap (until you buy ink!) that I bought one, and I chucked the Brother into the trash can.
Uneven paper feeding on a Canon PIXMA MX420 is usually caused by dirty or worn pickup rollers, a displaced roller, or paper that isn’t seated correctly.
If the roller is visibly loose, cracked, flattened, or turns unevenly, cleaning will not fix it. The pickup-roller assembly or separation pad likely needs replacement. If the paper enters straight but becomes crooked farther inside, look for a torn paper fragment or obstruction in the feed path.

Hi Derrick,
Thank you for replying. It is much appreciated.
It still doesn't work after attempting the cleaning. I'll admit it's not easy to reach the pickup roller. Perhaps it might need to be replaced.
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Dominic
