I have a PIXMA MX922 that will no longer feed any paper from the tray. There is only one tray for standard letter size paper and there is no option for single page feeding. I have cleaned the rollers several times, following the step-by-step instructions. The printer makes that telltale clicking noise, then you can hear the rollers spinning uselessly for a bit before the all too familiar beep-beep-beep error message notification. I have read through dozens of threads in the CanonCommunity hoping I would find a fix for this issue. Nothing has worked.
How such a low level problem can completely disable a printer that otherwise runs and prints flawlessly is sad. How is it that Canon has never addressed this universal issue with the PIXMA line? What is Canon doing about it?
In addition to my 10 LB Canon "paperweight", I have 6 unused, unopened Canon ink cartridges that I can no longer use, PG BK 250XL, (2) 251XL BK, 251 C, 251 M, and 251 Y. So much for the wisdom of keeping spare cartridges on hand.
Has anyone gone through the Canon Upgrade Program? DId it work? Was it worth it?
Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same problem. I get intermittent feeds of paper, but almost every time, the paper won't feed and I get an error message. I have opened up the back, cleaned the rollers, reset the machine, reset the paper in the tray countless times.

I have this problem too. Seems the roller cleaning process is not very effective. I have tried reloading the paper by changing direction and top to bottom with little results. This will be a decision factor on my next printer. I have had 3 Canon printers in the past and liked them very much but maybe my next printer will not be a Canon.

Hi wment,
When the paper does not feed, what error code appears on the display of your PIXMA MX922?

It says to add paper and hit OK.
I found the by removing the tray, standing the printer on the back side I have access to the pickup rollers. Using a LINT FREE cloth and cleaning the rollers with PLAIN WATER the problem is solved for now (12 sheets of paper so far). We will see if this process lasts.
Solvents or detergents may harden the rollers making the problem worse.

Well.... I have printed about a dozen more pages and the problem has returned. This time cleaning the rollers with water has not helped. Are NEW replacement rollers available? I would hate to trash the printer for a $10 item.

I have the exact problem and have for quite some time. Also the rollers feeding the paper to be copied/faxed only works intermittently. Had machine years and was about to just order a new one just like it (if possible) until I saw this conversation.
