PIXMA MX922 unable to scan from Mini Mac but able to print wirelessly

Tina1

I have a Mini Mac running Monterey that I recently had to reformat. Now it is not recognizing the scanner in my Canon MX922. It only lets me print wirelessly. No scan function listed. Great printer that I want to keep using but really need to be able to scan docs.

Hi Tina1,

Please download and install the scanner driver from the Support Page of your PIXMA MX922:

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-mx920-mx922

Once on that page, please click the Download button to the right of "MX920 series Scanner Driver Ver.19.3.0a (Mac)".

When the installation is complete, please use the IJ Scan Utility to scan with your PIXMA MX922.

The IJ Scan Utility can be found in the Canon Utilities folder which is located in the Mac's Applications folder.

More information can be viewed here:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/M/MX920%20series/EN/CNT/CNT_scan.html

Hi Patrick, Thank you for responding.

I have found this page previously. Once you get to the download page, it asks what OS you are using. There is a dropdown menu to select your OS. Mine is Monterey and it is not listed. When I upgraded my OS, it seems I made the printer obsolete. I even tried to go back to an older OS but was unable to do so. Not sure what else to do. The printer and scanner worked perfectly with Sierra.
