PIXMA MX870 Error code 6A80

I have a Canon Pixma MX870 with Error Code 6A80, 12 Alternating flashes per round.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MX870 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

Thank you for your reply. I decided to just buy a new printer. The MX870 was given to me as a gift for helping someone move some furniture so, besides buying ink; I literally had no investment in it. I have to say it served me well. I used it for about 12 or 13 years. The thing was a Cadillac with a lot more features than I ever needed, most of which I never took advantage of. So, I decided to downsize and bought a new printer without all the, "Bells and Whistles".
