I had a paper jam on my MX432 and since then my print is blurred, shadowing, double printing.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I also tried everything in the manual for blurred printing and this was the only method that worked. THANK YOU!!

thank you soooo much!! this was really useful. I was having a really panic as I was trying to print all my RAF paperwork. But these simple instructions were increadibly easy to follow and worked like a charm.

Can't thank you enough for this information. I have spent the best part of a day trying to work out what is wrong with the printer (which is typically just out of warranty!). Today was the last 'shot' at it as I felt I couldn't afford to spend any more time on this and my 4 month old was being neglected! Came across this website and your advice - golden. Thank you.

advise how you open up the "front where the paper prints." I'm assuming that is the panel on the lefthand side of the printer.

I'd pressed "clean" four times and "deep clean" three times - and still the same problem. I was ready to tear all my hair out. Thanks so much! Now my problem has been resolved.

Thank you, this sollution fixed my printing problem too. I used isopropyl alcohol along with a dozen Q-tips. I plan to buy some doctor length Q-tips for easier access. Adding this preventative maintenance to my list to clean once a month.

There is an alternative to buying new cartridges each month.
1. Get some replacement ink bottles online (there's plenty to choose from - just Google it).
2. The cartridges on my MX722 have an indent on the bottom that can be punctured (carefully) and with the syringe that comes with the bottles, you then very carefully (use the gloves otherwise ink will be all over your hands);
3. After the ink is inserted in all of the cartridges (use electric tape to seal up the hole), then close the access door and wait until the beep sounds to tell you the cartridges are empty, etc.
4. Just as you hear the beep, press the stop button and keep it pressed until the error message clears the display and it says it is processing.
5. Take note that this process does not alert you to empty cartridges and you'll have to refill each cartridge (usually the blacks) is emptied. The cartridges appear as grayed-out images on the display.
I don't know if it'll work on your printer, I only know it works on mine. I save myseld at least $300 a month.
Good luck
