PIXMA MG5420 - Driver for Windows 11

Does anyone know if there is a driver for Windows 11 for the Canon MG5420 printer?  I can't install it on my new computer as it's stating driver isn't available.  Thanks in advance.

What  problem are you running into? Nothing special is required, if you do things right.

Here's the software:

There's only ONE driver file to use, then the apps.

First, install the driver Ver. 1.01 BEFORE connecting the printer to your computer. Are you doing this?

Then connect them. That gives you a working printer in Windows. Then you install whatever of the apps you want. I do Easy-PhotoPrint EX, My Printer, and Quick Menu.

If anyone is still watching this thread, something just occurred to me.

The OP said it's a new computer with Windows 11. If the computer has an increasingly-common ARM CPU, instead of an Intel or AMD CPU, there is no driver from Canon for it. This is happening to many people.

If Windows 11, all by itself, does not add the printer and give some functionality, you are out of luck.

Hello Normadel, I am still trying to resolve this issue. I have a x64 based processor, but am still having issues connecting the printer. Any thoughts of things I can try?

I just realized you tapped into a two-year-old thread. Let's start fresh.

Just what exactly is or is not happening with you?

If there are any pieces of the MG5420 driver or accompanying software installed, UNINSTALL them, then reboot your computer.

Then do a fresh install as I described three replies ago.
