Unfortunately, looks like your particular printer's printable area is just too small (see https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART163725 for details).
When analyzing the 1040 for filing 2025 taxes, it has a top margin of 0.39 inches to the highest text on the page. That wouldn't get cut off since your printable area only needs 0.12 inches. But the bottom margin of the form is only 0.27 inches which is quite a bit less than your printable area's 0.66 inches.
One potential workaround would be to print to US Legal paper, then cut off 3 inches of paper from the bottom to get back to US Letter size.
Another would be to scale things down in your printer setup to allow the entire contents to fit within the printable area. Though I honestly don't know if that would be acceptable to send it to the IRS.

What exact printer model are you using? I'm assuming you're attempting to print the PDF of the 1040 forms that you downloaded from the IRS website? What software are you using to open those PDF documents (e.g. Preview application in macOS 26.3)?

Thanks for asking. using older pixma2922. yes, irs pdf, using windows11 to print.
