PIXMA MG2525 Error Code 306 Communication Code

Hello! I recently installed the new driver to run my PIXMA MG2525 on macOS Sequoia V 15.4.1. After the install i was able to print successfully ONCE. I now get an error code that says Support Code: 306 A communication error has occurred. I have googled this error and I have trouble shoot it to the best of my limited abilities. I have restarted, checked all the connections and ensured the wifi is connected. I think it may be the drivers I literally just installed but at this point i am stumped. Looking for any helpful suggestions on how to get the printer to work. thanks in advance.

Hi MKR1,

The PIXMA MG2525 does not have the ability to be used wirelessly.  Please make sure you are using a USB cable.

With your PIXMA MG2525 on, please disconnect the USB cable and follow these steps:

1.  Click on the Apple in the upper left corner and then System Settings.

2.  Click on Printers & Scanners at the bottom of the left hand side.

3.  Click on the Canon MG2500 series printer.

4.  In the new window, click Remove Printer.

5.  Repeat until all Canon MG2500's are removed.

6.  Once complete, click the Add Printer, Scanner or Fax... button.

7.  The Add Printer window will appear.  Reconnect the USB cable from your MG2525 to your Mac.

8.  Your printer will appear in the list.  Click on it one time to select it.

9.  At the bottom, in the Use box, does "Canon MG2500 series" appear?  If so, click Add.

The drivers will be installed and the printers list will appear again.

Does your printer now appear in the list with a green dot and "Idle"?

If so, please attempt to print.
