PIXMA MG2522 - shifts my labels

Bob73
Apprentice

When ever I try to print a sheet of Avery labels, #8160, using template # 5160, the printer shifts my labels to the right. There are 3 columns of labels on a sheet and ea. column gets shifted to the right when printed. The first column on the left is shifted the most, 2nd column is shifted a litlle less, and the last, just a small amount. Reviewed all settings, to no avail. Thank you.

Hi Bob73,

As a test, if you use template 8160, does the print line up correctly?

This template can be viewed here:

https://www.avery.com/templates/8160

Are you using Windows?  If so, are you using Windows 10?  Or are you using Windows 11?
or Mac?  If you are using a Mac, what version of the macOS are you using?

What application on your computer are you using to print your labels with the template?

When you contacted Avery regarding this issue, what were some of their suggestions?

Hey Patrick, I use windows 10, and MS Word, version19. Avery had a troubleshooting video. Mostly basic steps to try with printer, such as general print tips, how to feed the sheets, clean printer then proceed to manufacturer's web site. Then, talked to live chat, but to no avail, then, instructed to proceed to Canon. And here I am.

Hi Bob73,

If you print a regular document from Word on plain paper, is the text on the printed page shifted like you see with your labels?
