PIXMA MG2522 not copying/printing

Using Canon MG-2522 printer/copier/scanner - when I try to print a page I get message, "the printer is offline".

I press the pause button, resume button appears.  I press this.

Pause button appears - again - with the message, "the printer is offline".

I have tried this multiple times with always the result above.

Any thoughts on solving this?  Please advise.

The scanner portion of this MG-2522 works fine.

Hi BladMann2000,

When you turn your PIXMA MG2522 on, does the error light blink?  Does the power light blink too?

This means that your printer is in an error state:

MG2500 series > Troubleshooting > About Errors/Messages Displayed > If an Error Occurs

Please make sure that both ends of the USB cable are connected securely.

If so, the next step would be to reinstall.   An operating system was not provided, so I am unable to provide steps, but the latest drivers are available here:
