Windows 11 Pro 24H2
Everything worked fine last time I scanned. Now printer works correctly but Cannot Communicate with scanner.
Device manager says: Device USBPRINT\CanonMG2500_series\7&114f9809&0&USB001 requires further installation.
How do I do that?

Reinstall the complete driver for the printer.

Go here and download the complete driver package, it will update all the printer functions

Installation completed but I get the same errors when I scan.

It seems that this is a Windows 10 error as well as 11. The ET 2580C scanner has this error going all the way back to 2020 according to the Microsoft Windows tech support forum. The person with the error deleted the drivers for the printer and reinstalled a European driver as told to by tech support. It did not fix the issue, Microsoft offered no other solution and closed the thread. I did find this thread which says they found a solution:
