PIXMA MG2520 XXL Cartridge Error

I bought a set of XXL cartridges for my 2520 printer but it doesn't recognise them....Is there a software update for this?

I bought them on eBay brand new sealed but don’t have the paperwork. I’ll check me eBay to see who made them.
