A friend of mine has a Pixma G7020, and we can't figure out an item on the control panel since it's not mentioned in the manual.

Anyone know what the circled item in the photo below is for?

And come on, Canon, why don't you mention the control in the manual even if it doesn't do anything or isn't germane to this printer?

Thank you, Rick. One--at least I do--must wonder why that info is not in the online edition of the manual as listed on Canon's web page. I will let my friend know.
