I know it's a print head error. I followed instructions to reseat them, and it didn't help. Someone suggested unplugging it and pushing the power button before restarting, but that did nothing. My question is, the printer has been working fine until all of a sudden this problem. The print heads aren't new, they've been the same this whole time. No one has opened the printer or tampered with anything. So how come all of a sudden it says it doesn't recognize my print heads?
I would just buy new ones, but the Canon site says they're out of stock. So what now?

Greetings ,
Before replacing the printheads I would remove the ones currently installed, clean their contacts and reseat them. See if this helps.
