So yesterday mu G550 arrived and I found out that when I print on paying cards (others have done this with other pixma models link to board game geek forum ) the last 2 mm stays blank.
I have tried lots and lots of settings but I cannot get those last mm tot print. the strange thing is that it is not a margin that comes from the edge of the document but from the middle.
Does anyone know a setting that can cause this or hints for a fix/ workaround?

That sounds frustrating. It could be a paper size or borderless printing setting issue. Try checking your printer driver settings for margin options, or experiment with different paper types. Some Pixma models have a printable area limitation maybe a custom paper size tweak could help.

I've tried to find printer margin settings but the driver only lets me select paper size and since I select photo with borderless printing enabled. Also the unprinted part comes from the inside of the page and therefore probably cannot come from any document margin setting .
Ive done the same print using a standard A4 sheet and also with my card. as you can see it still skips the last 2 mm.
card and A4 comparison
so some setting is skipping printing on the last part of the card.
are there any special (hidden or otherwise that I can access that can override whatever the printer is trying to do?
