Bought my 1st G4280-FEB 2025, but was having printing issues after it went thru an update. Canon Support decided to send me a new G4280. Plugged it in⚡, but i can't set it up because the Printer Heads won't move to the center when you open the Unit. (Support Code 1470)
I don't want to force them & I have searched online without a solution. (solution keeps sending me to a page that says it will move to center automatically when you open the unit 😡😡😡
Any help?

Update: I made another call to the Canon Warranty department and they said there is nothing I can do from my end (there is no latch to manually release the Printer Head Carriage)
They are sending me a new Pixma G4280 (my Third! ☺️)...........wish me luck.
PS: I do appreciate the attempts to help by others in this thread. (pls ignore my frustration)

This is exactly the same issue I’m having with my brand new G4270.
Did you ever manage to fix it or did canon end up sending a new printer?

No fix. Call & make them send you a replacement.

Thank you! I called today and they refuse to do anything so I’ll be returning it to Best Buy.
