I bought a Pixma megatank G4270. Depending on the setting, the printer will give a range of discolouration. Not an acceptable level, I'm talking black becoming light gray, and similarly for colours. The settings I've come across that cause this are borderless printing and using photo paper, but I haven't tried too many settings. When I print on regular paper mode vs photo paper, the issue will disappear... or when I turn off borderless printing. This is with all other settings being the same, printing from the same system and app. This is an issue I didn't expect to come across in 2024, maybe 20 or 30 years ago. I see a lot of people are having the same issue online and no real resolution given by canon. If I'm mistaken please advise.
