My Canon Pixma G4010 printer stopped printing this week, giving me an error #2114 message that the printer paper size was incorrect. It has been giving me this message occasionally for weeks, but the message always disappeared when I rebooted. Not now. I attempted to correct the paper size setting on the printer screen but without success. I still got the same error message and could not print. I eventually decided to search the printer webpage. I tried “cleaning”—no difference. Next I found a “detect paper setting mismatch” option. Since that sounded like my problem, I turned the setting off and attempted to print again. Sure enough, the printer printed, but only color ink prints clearly. Black ink prints extremely faintly; I’m suspicious it’s actually printing gray, not black. How do I correct?
