Did you mean:

PIXMA G3202 Error Code 5B00.

If you get this error code it means your waste tank is full.  It is located in the back of the printer, and it is nothing more than a sponge.  When this is full the printer quits working.  Even if you take it out and clean it the printer does not recognize that the sponge is clean so you will still get an error code.   Canon does not make a replacement sponge.  We have had ours for three years before it got the 5B00 code.  I have always sworn by Canon products however it would be nice if they made a replacement sponge for it.  Bottom line it the company's way of getting you to buy new printers.  I am definitely going to shop around but it sounds like it is going to be that way with any of the mega tank printers.

Hi,

Canon does offer model that now come with a maintenance cartridge. This cartridge is different from an ink absorber and can be replaced when it is full.
Here is a list of some of the printers:

MAXIFY GX6020
MAXIFY GX7020
MAXIFY GX5020

you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

You can take advantage of this offer by calling the Canon Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays. They will also be able to go over in further detail about our line of printers that have a maintenance cartridge
