PIXMA MG3620 - won't align

I have a PIXMA 3620 that I bought in November to replace one that I had for five years and worked well (until it didn't).  The replacement prints color fine, but when only using black and white there are obvious print alignment issues.  The photo shows what I am talking about.

I have run auto print alignment AND manual print alignment, and still get the same results.  Is there something else it could be?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks for your reply.

To answer your questions,

No error messages.

Windows 11

Printer is connected via WiFi home network.  Only printer on the network.

Yes, original software was downloaded and installed from official Canon site.

Will of course reinstall if you recommend.
