My new laptop will not install my pixma 150 printer.

I have a canon pixma MP150 printer/scanner and I had no problem installing the program on my old toshiba laptop.  This new laptop, HP, will not allow it to be installed so that I can scan information from the printer to my computer.  Has something to do with incompatability with 64-bit windows.  How can I fix this problem?

You stated that you are using your PIXMA MP150 with a new laptop.  Is Windows 8 installed on your laptop?  If so, the reason why you are unable to install your PIXMA MP150 is because the PIXMA MP150 is not supported with Windows 8.
