I bought a Dell XPS computer from Costco yesterday. When I hooked it up, I found that it did not work with my Canon MFP and that Canon had no intention of making them work together. First I will call Costco and complain because the Dell box had absolutely no mention (or writing) of any kind to that effect, Second, I will take the computer back to Costco today and stay with my old computer for now. Then I will linger around the printers and computers in the Costco store and subtly let people know that the companies are in collusion to sell more products that they intend to support down the road. They give up when Microsoft puts out a new OS (and do nothing to help their old customers)0 except create some phony Loyalty Club intended to hook you into buying products that only will be supported for a number of years. Simple enough. Wait for a new OS to come out and then Canon can force "Loyal" customers to buy more of their medium quality products.
