MAXIFY MB2720 Will not communicate with laptop and Windows 11.

This is my 5th 2720 and I've worked them hard over the last 20 years. The one two before this exhibited symptoms of a bad print roller, in addition to being a model not for US distribution. I replaced it and it worked well for 10 months before the roler problem again. I bought another new one because I felt comfortable with the model, but I've spent 2 days trying to get it communicating with the laptop and it won't. Today's service call was close to 2 hours and the rep knew his stuff. He got it to print from the printer once and I thanked him because I could change the paper rather than tie him up. I shut it down, changed the paper, and have not gotten it to communicate or anything with my laptop. I've tried on-line set up, the new DVD setup, and the precious models' DVD setup. I have about 8 hours in this now and that calls for your help, if I may. Thanks. Grid Michal

Greetings,

As comforting as install CDs that come with products might appear they are always outdated (obsolete) by the time a product makes it to your home or office.

It's best to visit the product's support portal and get the latest versions of the product's software drivers, apps, etc.  select downloads, software and drivers and choose your OS.

The printer supports wireless direct and connection to a wireless network.  Which do you plan to use?

Connection to a wireless network is more versatile as it allows any device connecting to the same network to use the printer.

If you want to use wireless direct, I recommend downloading the Canon Print App from the Google Play or App Store.  I believe you may have done this but I wasn't sure what operating system your mobile device was running.

I can provide additional assistance once I know which connection method you intend to use?
