MX922 not printing text after Windows 10 patch KB4592438 or KB4586781

Hello,

My PIXMA MX922 will print graphics but not text every since this update happened or possibly the previous one.  The printer will print correctly from my iphone with the canon app.

I have been able to send and print out a text file successfully from the same desktop to my Canon PRO 100, so it seems to only have affected the MX922.

Please help.

• Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Edge Legacy.
• Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.

KB4586781

• Updates to improve security when using input devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or pen.
• Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
• Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
• Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.

If you believe one of these updates has affected printing, you can easily uninstall them and test your theory.

I tried to uninstall the KBs and it wouldn't let me remove them all and the error is still there.  This priinter has been working fine this year and I'ved used it a lot.

It must be something that has happened with Windows 10 and an update because it does print, just not like it normally was a month or two ago directly off the desktop.

I also just printed out a pdf from my desktop and all the images printed but not the text.  This has apparently been an issue before too but I don't see a fix. 

I guess I have no choice but to buy another printer and as much as I like Canon, probably won't buy another printer from them.

You can uninstall updates, individually, cumulative, feature and optional. While I don't think these updates are related to your issue, it won't take more than 2 minutes and a restart to confirm.

I already mentioned that I uninstalled some of the KBs there but the one from 12/15 is having an error and won't let me uninstall. If you don't think this is my issue then why did this same type of issue occur a few years ago in some online research I found? 

What else would cause it not to print text only ?  I'm guessing the driver is the only other item that could need an update now but that doesn't explain why a text document prints fine from my iPhone 12 and the canon app on the same printer.

I'm a programmer and not the typical user and that's why I tested with a different printer and other variables after researching and finding this has been an issue in the past.

This is where I saw someone mention that it was only printing graphics and not text.

Other possible option:  In addition to the Uninstall updates option, you can also try system restore and revert the system to the point in time prior to the updates.  Windows does this automatically.
