At first I thought I had a misaligned printer head, but this looks like more than that. Notice that the patterns don't line up, and there are gaps. This started after a paper jam that was cleared according to instructions. Any suggestions what the problem may be?

Hi Tom4,
This issue can be caused if the encoder strip if there is a smudge on the encoder strip. The encoder strip is a small plastic strip with tiny vertical black lines on it that the print carriage uses with an optical sensor to read it's speed & position within the printer.
