MX 922 Copy problems

Icegoddess
Apprentice

I HAVE CLEANED THE GLASS AND IT DOESN'T FIX ANYTHING.

OK, when I try to copy via the automatic feed, it starts out fine, but the more pages it prints I get a bar along the left side of the page about 1/2" wide that gets darker and darker until it is black.  Then, in the past, I had no problems copying by laying things flat on the glass, but now it only prints a few letters on the far right of the page.  Printing and Scanning work fine.

Below is a scanned (hand scanner) picture of each problem.  You can ignore the ghost image of the book underneath as well as the dark bar at the top of the 2nd pic.

Hello.

It may be possible that the ADF glass strip is dirty.  Please gently clean the small glass strip that is beside the main scanning glass.  This small strip is used when the ADF is used for scanning.

If you continue to have difficulties, find more help at Contact Us.
