MG6821 "Printing" blank sheets of paper

My MG6821 only ouputs blank paper using print or copy functions. An error code appeared once, but I was not able to write it down before it went away. I have not been able to get the printer to display the error code again. I have completed printer cleaning and print head maintenance and nozzle checks and print head removal, cleaning and re-installation. Still only get blank paper. Ideas?

Hi JoeKoubek,

 

When your PIXMA MG6821 is not printing correctly, the first step is to make sure that each ink tank contains ink.  Next, performing 3 or 4 printhead cleanings should be performed.  If after performing printhead cleanings your PIXMA MG6821 still does not print correctly, your PIXMA MG6821 would require service.

 

You are eligible for Canon's Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got, Diane. Since this thread started, we've retired the PIXMA MG6821. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
