Hi ,

can anybody help please .I have the above printer its about 6 months out of warranty .I have replaced all the inks ,carried out all cleaning ,realignment programmes .

I am getting blurred ghost printing with text ,I get one line thats ok then the next is blurred (doubled) .

also if I print a grid the horizontals are fine but the verticals are just a series of very very narrow ellipses on top of each other .

Just thought I would ask the experts if they have any ideas before I throw it in the trash.

Hello there.    Exactly the same problem with mine.   Ran all the cleaning operations, found out how to inspect and clean the encoder (timing) strip and did that too.  Really disapointed with canon. throw away printers.
