Hi there,
I'm using OS X Yosemite (10.10.3) and I've enjoyed printing to my PIXMA MG5522 for about a year now, but I could never get the scanner to work, and I just let that go.
Well, now I need the scanner, and I'm having issues. I found another message on this forum about how to add the PC by going to "Scan" "Save/Forward," "PC" but the only option that shows up is "Local USB." These two devices (the printer/scanner and computer) should be speaking to eachother already, right? So what's the problem here?
Thanks,
Kylie

Hello.
Please perform the following to register your scanner to work wirelessly on the Mac:
1. Open the Application folder.
2. Open Canon Utilities.
3. Open the IJ Scan Utility.
4. Under Product name, choose the Network version of the printer.
Once complete, attempt to scan from the IJ Scan Utility using the Photo or Document buttons in the program.

Sorry, this didn't work. These are my only options after I find Canon Utilities through my Application folder:
