MG5300 printer only works now from iMac or Maclaptop after turning off, then back on. Has been working fine for years, now when issue print from either device, printer icon bounces and messages "no connection" so turn printer off, then back on, and prints. For a few minutes. On next print, have to do all over again. Any thoughts? Thanx.

Support was terrific. Checked to make sure files and wireless network available. i had downloaded and installed drivers. Then reset router and it's up and working again.
Thank you Canon Support, Jason by name. Good job.

Hello.
If the printer is being used via USB, ensure that the printer is connected directly to your computer rather than through any USB hubs or extension devices.
If the printer is being used wirelessly, this may be related to signal strength. Try moving the printer closer to your router to see if this helps.

Printer sits on table 4 feet from router; it did before, when it worked, at one point even across the room.
So Monday will call Support.
